The Waterkeeper Karnali Expedition will be a special expedition, extending two days longer than our regular expedition. This time, we will begin our journey from Rakam Karnali, approximately 78 km upstream of our regular put-in point at Tallo Dungeshwar. We will be accompanied by an environmentalist and a journalist, who will document the journey, observe the river and surrounding environment, and prepare a report following the expedition.
This expedition is an important part of our broader campaign to save the Karnali River. By travelling through this stretch of the river, documenting its ecological and social significance, and highlighting the challenges it faces, we aim to strengthen public awareness and encourage greater efforts to protect the Karnali for future generations
This expedition contributes to NRCT – Nepal River Conservation Trust. A portion of proceeds supports river conservation and freshwater awareness.
