The Nepal River Conservation Trust (NRCT) has launched a 50-day special river conservation campaign focusing on local river cleanups and environmental awareness. The campaign, titled River Conservation Campaign, actively involves local communities, environmentalists, and policymakers to promote sustainable river management and public engagement.

As part of this effort, NRCT has introduced the Andikhola School of Bamboo Technology and River Restoration in Syangja, aiming to support long-term river restoration and introduce eco-friendly practices like bamboo-based solutions for riverbank protection.

Key objectives of the campaign include:

  • Raising awareness about the importance of river ecosystems.
  • Mobilizing local communities for river cleanup and protection.
  • Providing practical training and sustainable solutions through bamboo technology.
  • Strengthening local leadership and public participation in river conservation.

NRCT emphasizes that protecting rivers is essential for environmental sustainability, public health, and cultural preservation. The organization remains committed to long-term, collaborative river conservation efforts and invites everyone to join this important mission.
